and it's women's history month, too.
apparently the alhambra, calif. school district thinks it's ok to discriminate against its female athletes.
tell them it's not ok:
dr. julie hadden
superintendent
alhambra school district
scanlon center, district office
15 west alhambra road
alhambra, calif. 91801

send an email
i wrote to dr. hadden expressing my disappointment and here's what she wrote back to me:
thank you for taking time to share your thoughts with me. please understand that there are many specifics of this lawsuit that will need to be researched and examined before conclusions can be drawn either way. i too was shocked and saddened to hear of this first from channel 11 when they arrived at the district office yesterday to ask me for my opinion on a document i had not seen and a problem that has not been presented to me by the parents of these student.i am a former athlete and coach and i know from first hand experience what title ix is all about. if there are violations of that law we will address them. i am committed to equity and access for all of our students.
