knitted goods for donation?
here's to all you knitters in the la area: would anyone like to donate a hand-knitted beanie and gloves for a needy 10-year-old girl? she attends a school in ventura county with extremely low socioeconomic status (e.g. kids receive free breakfast and lunch at school; parents have a hard time buying necessities like jackets). she writes that she likes purple (i think all girls this age do!) and wears size xs. i'd really like to give her something handmade so i can stay with my "handmade holiday 2005 theme" instead of buying something that was imported from china. i'd do it myself, but i'm a complete novice and it would take me until next december to do it. the glitch is that i would need to know you'd like to donate these by tomorrow morning and get these items from you no later than monday. any takers?
