remember richie rich behind us building that monstrosity with imported italian roof tiles? the one that makes an incredibly ghastly use of a 20x40 lot? well, they've turned into our benefactors.

apparently, their kitchen window faces our termite-infested, nearly falling-down fence. ng (no good). so they asked us if they can please replace it at their cost. well, gee. the fence was going for a sort of retro look. one that went with asbestos, smoking while pregnant and not using seat belts.

i mean, these are people that moved their front door 10 degrees to the left to the tune of $20k because the wife didn't want to look at the neighbor's driveway. a little fence is what they spend on coffee in a week.

the landlord was never going to replace it, so hey, why not? plus, this place is probably going to be torn down in a couple of years. i neglected to mention that lest it harm their delicate visual sensibilities.
